Where's Waldo's Propaganda?

The picture on the left is what the AP put out which then spread to every left wing blog and media outlet on the internet. The picture on the right is of a different angle.

How about this one.

Keep on pissing on your son's grave, Cindy.

This isn't Vietnam and Bush isn't Nixon, but the hippies want it to be so bad. The libs forget that their Satan (Nixon) actually was the one to stop the darn war and their God (Kennedy) was the one to start it. Then Johnson took off his shoes and squished it in between his toes. Nixon inherited the monster. Though we were winning in Vietnam he decided to acquiesce to the media and the ignorant public. He helped the left take power from the armed forces and give it to the politicians. They are going to try to do it again. It just disgusts me. If I see one liberal spit on just one soldier I will personally stand in a clock tower in Boston and start taking out libs.

How can anyone take these people seriously. The 24 hour news media is so disgusting and unbearable. All the talk of rapes, murders, snipers, 10,000 dead, and all the other utterly senseless crap that supposedly happened in New Orleans just goes to show me that the media wanted these things to happen so Bush would look really bad. We now know that these 'news stories' were all just poppycock. There were no check and balances. They didn't try to confirm the stories; they just blirted their bias all over the TV. The pain and suffering was selling really well and we were all buying it. We all took at face value. But I have yet to hear stories that recant their incredulous, unconfirmed claims of chaos and mayhem; and you won't hear much of them either.

Wow...A real live rock star!

It is no surpirse that CaraP is a rock star! Yes, you are! I listened to the two tracks on the Lorien site and I was most impressed. I will definitely buy the album when it hits iTunes. I'm just excited I get to tell people that I knew you when...when you were awesome and graced our band with your unbelievable talent. Now if you can get me Justin Timberlake's autograph, I can die in peace...hehehe!

A series of unfortunate questions...

Allow me to preface by admitting that I know I have not posted in quite a while. However, I continue to use eRIc as my proverbial yardstick and therefore feel no anxiety at all concerning my lack of posting, rambling, ranting, raving, or incoherent mumbling of late. I have been, as they say, busy.

The LSAT has been described by some as "BS mascarading as benchmark for law school acceptance." This may or may not be true, and considering I have little understanding of what attributes actually make up a good law student, I must give the test writers the benefit of the doubt and conclude that they have merely concocted a series of unfortunate questions. I took the GMAT down with considerable ease. Not that I blew the top out of the thing by any means, but considering how poorly I did on the math section, more than the approximate four to eight hours of studying I actually did would certainly have elevated me beyond the 80th percentile range in which my wits and the grace of God alone landed me. The LSAT, to borrow a phrase from Frontier Airlines, is an entirely different animal. While the GMAT was composed of a number of passages designed to test your command of the english language, and mathematics, the LSAT is designed with the goal of making you feel like trying to swallow a bullet that is traveling at high speed. Slowly, but surely I am learning how to disengage myself from the material of the absolutely absurd arguments and focus instead, on the actual structure. These writers must be sadists; there are few other explanations that do not involve some kind of cult. Wish me luck, I get to take a stab at this thing October first.

At this point, someone is probably asking himself why in the world he bothers to read this detritus anyway. This individual once again realizes that he has no life and returns to reading in satisfaction. At this point, one might notice the time that this post was how they say, posted. I might as well explain myself... there's little else to explain short of my recent addiction to "Gilmore Girls" which I can, and do blame entirely upon Seashell. I digress, I have been sick for the past week or so, and have been taking as copious amounts of "night-time medication" as allowed per directions on the box. I have also stopped drinking cokes recently, and the combination of my getting well and therefore not taking any cold medication with that of my having consumed a route 44 Dr. Pepper this evening has given me enough energy to pick up two cinder blocks and carry them halfway to Omaha. I am, as they say, unable to sleep.

Back to the grind,
Jeff C.

Clinton helps out the wifey...

Powerline Story

Excerpt:
Breaking with tradition under which US presidents mute criticisms of their successors, Clinton said the Bush administration had decided to invade Iraq "virtually alone and before UN inspections were completed, with no real urgency, no evidence that there were weapons of mass destruction."

Geez, here we go again.

That is funny because is what he said on July 23, 2003.
[I]t is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons.

How about these doozies

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of m@ss destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of m@ss destruction program."
- President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
- Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of m@ss destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of m@ss destruction programs."
- Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin (D-MI), Tom Daschle (D-SD), John Kerry ( D - MA), and others Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of m@ss destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
- Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"San Fran Nan" "Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of m@ss destruction and palaces for his cronies.."
- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
- Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, December 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of m@ss destruction and the means of delivering them."
- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of m@ss destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should @ssume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of m@ss destruction! ."
- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of m@ss destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
- Sen. John F.. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years .. We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of m@ss destruction."
- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do."
- Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapon stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, ! 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of m@ss destruction."
- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation .. And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of m@ss destruction... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of m@ss destruction is real."
- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

Good News From New Orleans

Excerpt
Tuesday evening the first container ship docked at the Port of New Orleans and began unloading. This beat the Port's predicted reopening by six months. Port officials credited the success to cooperation between federal agencies, Port staff, the dockworkers' union and state police. They now say the Port will be operating at 80 percent of normal within three months. That's good news for Midwest grain farmers who will soon be harvesting and exporting their crops.

Another News Excerpt
Nagin said the "re-population" of the city would start Monday in Algiers, a Creole-influenced neighborhood across the Mississippi River from the French Quarter. The city's Uptown section, which includes the Garden District's leafy streets and antebellum mansions, will reopen in stages next Wednesday and Friday.
The French Quarter will follow on Sept. 26.

Even More
Offshore energy companies will have the ability to produce at about 90 percent of pre-storm oil and gas output in 30 to 40 days, said Johnnie Burton, director of the Interior Department's Minerals Management Service.

U.S. crude oil prices fell more than $1 to below $64 a barrel on Friday on news that Katrina did not cause major damage to underwater pipelines in the Gulf.

This is going to be fixed and is going to better then it was before. I just hope that the monies that are going down there to help will truly be used with a conservaitve ideology. Let us pray.

And now, a guest post from big D

It has been a joy in the past as others have offered guest posts. It now is my pleasure to offer one by a gentleman from the office...big D. It seems he may have similar feelings as we Convoginators ... see for yourself:

I have come to a very important time in my life and I feel I have to make some very important decisions as to my future and place in this world.
The recent discussions on this and other boards have made my decision much easier. I am now confident there are many people out there that are willing to assume my responsibility to society and family. Therefore, I have decided to rid myself of all personal responsibility as I believe it will make my life much easier, more enjoyable and carefree.

I've decided to quit my job and move to the country. I'm going out tonight and pitch a tent on the nice smooth flat shoulder along the side of Interstate 30….It is public land. I'm going to party and live it up out there and do whatever I like. No responsibility, no schedule, complete freedom to do as I please.
I have always wanted to live my life in this manner, but have not had the financial means
necessary to accomplish these goals, however; I have finally realized the only thing keeping me from my goal was responsibility.

Some have questioned my decision to locate next to a busy interstate, but I have carefully considered the location and believe it to be the best place to provide for my needs. I love the smells and sounds of the open road, and I'm sure I will have several visitors a day drop in to check on me. If I am thirsty, a well placed sign will get me all the water I need. If I am hungry, an "I need food" sign will provide me with more food than I could possibly eat. I can create a sign for any of my needs and the good motorists will oblige. Some have expressed concern about the heavy automobile and truck traffic and I am pleased to say that a local contractor has graciously given me 12 slightly used, not so bright orange traffic cones to warn motorists of my presence.

In the unlikely event a "disaster" should befall me out there such as a severe thunderstorm, high winds, hail, tornado, ice storm, fire, flood, severe heat and drought, extreme cold, and the remote possibility I will be crushed by 18 wheelers, I will be located at the 205 mile marker. Should a "disaster" strike, someone must assume responsibility for my safety and well being as I have previously absolved myself of all personal responsibility. My source of food and water might not be available if it is a large "disaster" or my injuries may prevent me from being able to set out the appropriate sign
assuming they were not destroyed in the "disaster". If they are destroyed, I will need new ones since they are the only means I have to secure necessary water and food. Without these signs I will surely suffer an agonizing and painful death. Someone must notify GW because surely my cell phone service will be cancelled for non payment after a few months or will be destroyed by the disaster itself, and I will have no means of communication with authorities.

Please do not delay in calling; I might not be dead, just severely wounded and need emergency care and supplies. In the event I am fortunate enough to escape serious injury, I will more than likely need a new tent and necessary supplies to replace those that were damaged as a result of the unlikely "disaster". The traffic cones may also need to be replaced with brighter new ones. Should I become disabled as a result of this unlikely "disaster", I will need extensive rehab and medical care and someone to feed, take care of and train my dogs for an extended period of time depending on the severity of my injuries.

If I should succumb to the unlikely "disaster" I will forever blame GW. Someone please remind GW it is his and the Federal Government's responsibility to provide for funeral arrangements and take care of my wife, kids and dogs, as they did not have the forethought, wisdom, motivation or means to move out there with me and I assume are still very much alive and in desperate need of assistance. They would greatly appreciate a $2000.00 debit card. Feel free to give them mine as well as I will have little use for it.

Ahhhhhh…….The joys of freedom from responsibility sure make a man feel good. Knowing what I know now, my only regret is that I didn't do this 35 years ago.

Thanks to the many liberal, left wing, GW haters that have given me the strength and courage to reach for my goals; you will not be forgotten…..especially in the event of an unlikely "disaster".

Heh!

i havent been on the internet for a while and missed abunch of posts... most of which were funny/interesting but some (one) were just unconvogonistic. not to name any names but... for instance, madlocks post of the two movies, 1 of the new orleans rent a cop, and the other of a retarded black dude with a microphone doing something other than rap. that was a funny post...
but on the other side there was a post and again not to name any names but Josh's post about "rzback" and how josh has a big giant secret crush on him and wants to track him down and ask him why he posted on the tagboard and what exactly did he mean by "i saw you on the tron" and if that had some secret code meaning for we should get an apartment together...
anyways that post may be good for a xanga but definitely not for convoginators. geez.

posts should contain at least one reference to poop to even think about passing the bar.

and for you convoginators that saw this post, deciphered the secret code and still didnt say anything... shame on you.

haha

just kidding... kinda

From Protein Wisdom

It is settled wisdom among journalists that the federal response to the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina was unconscionably slow.

Mr. Bushs performance last week will rank as one of the worst ever during a dire national emergency, wrote New York Times columnist Bob Herbert in a somewhat more strident expression of the conventional wisdom.
But the conventional wisdom is the opposite of the truth.

Jason van Steenwyk is a Florida Army National Guardsman who has been mobilized six times for hurricane relief. He notes that:

The federal government pretty much met its standard time lines, but the volume of support provided during the 72-96 hour was unprecedented. The federal response here was faster than Hugo, faster than Andrew, faster than Iniki, faster than Francine and Jeanne."

For instance, it took five days for National Guard troops to arrive in strength on the scene in Homestead, Fla. after Hurricane Andrew hit in 2002. But after Katrina, there was a significant National Guard presence in the afflicted region in three.

Journalists who are long on opinions and short on knowledge have no idea what is involved in moving hundreds of tons of relief supplies into an area the size of England in which power lines are down, telecommunications are out, no gasoline is available, bridges are damaged, roads and airports are covered with debris, and apparently have little interest in finding out.
So they libel as a national disgrace the most monumental and successful disaster relief operation in world history.

It is quite a long piece, but it really talks about things that you haven't heard anywhere on the news. It is funny how things are being so twisted for political gain.

A caller that you have to listen to...

Please listen to this whole call. This really sums it up.

Here is the transcript of the call.

A few excperts---
How the African-American people are not outraged knowing that their best buddies in the world, the Democratic Party, ran Louisiana for 60 years and allowed 75% of the black population in New Orleans to be 50 to 60% unemployed and these are their best buddies in the world that's going to do everything for them, and the horror I saw on that TV, and I'm an African-American, was unbelievable. That party -- because I left the plantation years ago -- that party was supposed to be the best buddy of the African-American and I guarantee you, Rush, it's not just in Louisiana.

Another Quote from Janet the caller---
Exactly. I just don't understand it. I mean, it's acceptable if someone walks up to you and says, "I'm going to take care of you from the cradle to the grave" and they accept it and think that's life. That is not life.

This is what I want to change. This call is the true reason of getting rid of the immense size of the welfare hammock.

Very Important PSA

PSA

I want the government to tie my shoes, I can't reach my shoes...

Does socialism work? Has it ever?

A little wisdom from Rush.

You can't have somebody who is a success because that's offensive to somebody who hasn't succeeded. You can't have somebody have a good time because that's offensive to people who are not having a good time. You can't have somebody succeed in school because that's offensive and stigmatizes people who don't do well. So once again the left has shown us that they shoot for the lowest common denominator and this comes from their arrogance and their elitism and their own vaunted elitist view that they stand so high above everybody else. It's okay for them to succeed; it's okay for them to achieve. But that's because they're special people, the average bloke in this country doesn't have a chance.

The average bloke in this country doesn't have a prayer of succeeding and so liberals must do what they do in order to make everybody's lives at least passable. Hello, New Orleans! If you want to see what liberalism unchecked, unbridled, unstopped, does to people, take a look at New Orleans. We know what the Census figures are there. We know 75, 80% of the population is black. What does that mean? It means they can't charge racism down there. You can't charge racism down there, and you can't say that they need affirmative action down there, and yet look at the poverty rate down there. Look at the poverty rate.

This is a city that, rather than modernize and move forward, has chosen to celebrate its past and try to hold onto it because some people think it's quaint, and as a result, you get rampant poverty down there, and this hurricane brought it to shore, brought it to fore, and what the thing that everybody needs to see is, that liberals and Democrats have run that place, the whole state, city, for 60 years. It ought to be a panacea. It ought to be a Utopia. It ought to be so nice that no hurricane would dare get near it. It ought to be so nice that it's indestructible (said jokingly). There ought be no crime because everybody's happy and sufficient, their bellies are full, they all have jobs, they all have health care, the government does everything for them at the whim of the moment, everybody should be just the happiest people in the world in New Orleans.

The Mystery of the Unnamed Tagger

Okay, I'm really confused now. When "rzrback" tagged saying they saw me

on the Jumbotron, I thought, "Okay, I was on the 'tron and someone saw me ...
that's cool." Now, though, I'm baffled. Who could it have been?
I started going down the list of a few possiblities and found that the mystery
tagger would have to have these traits:

A. a reader of Convoginators.com

B. must have attended the game, for it was not televised

C. must be an avid fan of the Hogs. This doesn't necessarily go
along with B, for I was there but I'd have never said "the
hogs kick ass
." Plus, I was on there hours before the game even
started I think. I was misled into thinking there would be tons of
people there and empty seats would be at a premium

D. Isn't a convoginator, for we all actually use our posting names
(aside from Matthew/Quazl)

E. Must know what I look like.

So I've ruled out all the Hope chil'rens with these requesites. Zach

was there, but says he didn't post it. I'm pretty sure Berno would never
say "the hogs kick ass." I think P was out of
town. David, Dixie, the brothers Henry, etc. are not readers of
Convoginators.

I am thus baffled.

Put a sock in it !!!!!

It's not every day you can quote a complete and to total imbecile, but today we can. The good mayor of Noo Awlins, Ray Nagin is quoted as saying "It's going to be awful ( speaking of the possible results from draining the water from the city ) and it's going to wake the nation up again," the mayor warned. WAKE UP THE NATION…..please, no one has gone to sleep on this story ! Most every American has been glued to their TV's, countless people have worked zillions of hours already at every sort of mission and ministry possible. People are housing, feeding, caring, loving, giving to people all over the South and this guy eludes to the "COUNTRY FALLING ASLEEP ON THIS !!!" What a Jerk ! I'm surprised he's not blaming the President for this reckless 'slumber'.

So you think that you are good at shoot 'em ups?

This game is called Ikaruga. It is prolly the most difficult shoot 'em up ever made. I have playedit and had to cheat with infinite lives to beat it on EASY.

Here is a Japanese kid playing it on Hard with out dying and getting a very high score. Shoot 'em ups are all about points and this game is much different then the shooters that you have seen. There are two modes of the ship. One mode (white) and the other mode (red) are used through out the whole game. While white you can absorb white bullets and get better points shooting the white enemies. While red you can absorb red bullets and get more points killing red enemies. Here is the kicker, after you have absorbed enough damage you can send it out, but you have to send the blast to the opposite color for maximum damage and points.

Basically if God played video games he would play this one and it would look something like this.

Videos of God playing Ikaruga

Happy Labour Day!

I thought I'd post my thoughts on the hurricane, but it seems you guys have it taken care of. The only thing I can add is that if I were in Hope right now I would definately be helping with the people at Calvary. We had some people from Louisiana at New Life yesterday, and you could just tell they were shaken up. I saw Harry Connick, Jr. on the news the other day just walking around New Orleans looking sad...

I'm in the flat right now. No one to talk to. I'm all by myself. Ain't misbehavin'...

There are roughly 11,000 students here at UCA, 1,000 more than most years, with the largest freshman class in Arkansas of 2,500. UCA is offering free tuition and fees to all Arkansas residents who were enrolled for the fall semester at Tulane, Xavier, University of New Orleans, or Southern University. For out-of-state residents who were affected by Hurricane Katrina, UCA will waive the out-of-state tuition charge. That's probably the best thing this university has done since I've been here. Maybe we'll get a Cajun roommate.

Dogs and Cats Living together...

I have kept my mouth shut as long as I can. Many of you know how hard that is for me. This New Orleans fiasco has finally gone past warning level red to warning level ABSURD! If I hear one more bleeding heart liberal blame this unorganized mess on the federal government, I think I might lose my mind.

The Big Sleazy's Mayor, Ray Nagin, has to be one of the all time great tools. This joker didnt understand the economic layout of his own town. Did he actually think those thousands of individuals living in the hundreds of projects and low income housing were going hear his magical voice on the radio and hop in their SUVs and caravan out of town? It seems as though the city of New Orleans had thrown out any idea of an emergency plan years ago. Just as most partys go, everyone has a good time, then the cleanup is always left for a small handful of dedicated designated drivers. The federal government is now taking the blame for not taking care of the people that they were already taking care of.

Mayor Nagin is now laying blame on the federal government because his town was more worried about the parades, Daquiri bars and the parties than creating a viable plan for an emergency just like this. The mayor and the thousands involved complain about communication and the lack there of.
"They don't have a clue what's going on down there," New Orleans MayorRay Nagin told WWL-AM Thursday night. "Excuse my French everybody in America, but I am pissed."
"I need reinforcements, I need troops, man. I need 500 buses," Nagin said in a television interview Friday morning. "Get every dog-gone Greyhound bus line in the country and get that [expletive] moving to New Orleans ... This is a major, major, major deal. I can't emphasize that enough."

You know why we dont have a clue what is going on down there? Because the emergency service plan for the City of New Orleans stinks. It seems like the mayor and his band of city planners would have FORESEEN this. I mean, come on, that is the same idiom being leveled against the President and the federal government. President Bush should have foreseen this?? Come on, the Big Sleazy is the one that is supposed to have all the psychics, witch doctors and mojo men, maybe Nagin needs to get a few of those on staff.

At least the New Orleans governing body is handling this in an intelligent and dignified way... Oh wait ("Get every dog-gone Greyhound bus line in the country and get that [expletive] moving to New Orleans ...), I may be wrong.
"This is a national disgrace," said New Orleans' emergency operations chief Terry Ebbert. "We can send massive amounts of aid to tsunami victims, but we can't bail out the city of New Orleans."

National disgrace? One of the oldest cities in this country has no plan to insure the survival and well being of it citizens, and they suddenly make it a national disgrace. Here in Hope, Arkansas, we are feeding, housing, clothing and counseling about 400 of the refugees. The Hempstead country emergency management team has done an excellent job. Sure, we havent had a catastrophe, but our planis working and doing what it was designed to do.

I hope that this doesnt sound like I am insensitive to the problems they are having in New Orleans, trust me I cant even begin to imagine what they are going through.I just wish they would worry more about helping these people and not so much on who to blame.

manteca the insensitive

It is a disaster people...

Mother Nature can be cruel.

I can't take this anymore. I have to get this off my chest. I am going to hold my tongue and just ask questions?

What did FEMA and DHS do wrong?
What could they have done better?
Why didn't those people leave New Orleans?
What kind of people are stuck in the chaos?
After the ice storm, was there rampant looting and mayhem in Little Rock?
How are people in Mississippi acting?
What category storm were the levees designed to withstand in New Orleans?
How long has a category 4 or 5 been predicted to happen in New Orleans?
When the New Madrid fault gives way in the biggest earthquake the earth has ever seen will that also be Gearge Bush's fault?
What could the city of New Orleans done better?
What did the municipal and local governments do wrong?
Who is actually repsonsible for a cities plan for distaster especially when it is on the Gulf Coast?
In cases like this does the poop run uphill?
Is it Washington's?
Is it George Bush's?
Who are building the levees?
Who is pumping the water out?
Who is sending in food, water, and supplies?
Who is paying for all of this?
Who is blaming who?
Who is crying out the loudest?
Will New Orleans be rebuilt?
Is New York rebuillding?
Did America recover from 911?

I have decided to give money to the relief and ignore what is on television and on the news. I am tired of hearing this being politicized.

I am also tired of ranting now.

What's a nation gonna' do ?

I worked last night with the great folk from my little church to feed about 350 evacuees of Katrina. I met some folk that I almost felt that I knew because I grew up in Noo Awlins'. I knew intimately where they lived in and about town. I was saddened by so much of the stories they were telling me, but none hurt me more than a conversation I had with one gentleman. Our talk began with my attempt to introduce him to my good friend, Jesus Christ. It was at this juncture in our interaction that I was given the 'standard litany' about the inert goodness of man. I didn't have the heart, considering all this man has been through, to get into the fact that I've been seeing this 'goodness' on the news as I see the looting, tales of rape and beatings, as well as car jackings for the sake of a bottle of water. Oh, don't get me wrong, there's an awful lot of true good going on down there too, but my point is next time someone pulls out in front of you in traffic, tell me what your initial reaction of 'good' will be. No sir, the only good is far beyond that; it's perfectly Holy and it's only found in a true relationship with Christ.

Next thing we better watch out for are the fools working for CBS. Ted Coppel is the ringleader. Last night in front of millions of listeners he said that the US government purposely did not respond to those stranded in New Orleans because those stranded were mostly black. Just a few minutes ago I heard a live interview with Jessie Jackson pumping the same distorted lies. He said that there were some 125,000 people in New Orleans that make less than $8,000 per year and were unable to get out because they were poor and black ( I guess no one in that category were poor and white ). You know it's sad right now with horror going on and the tempers and emotions at such high levels that these people would be saying such divisive lies that are going to split this nation apart if they are not silenced.
