I thought I'd post my thoughts on the hurricane, but it seems you guys have it taken care of. The only thing I can add is that if I were in Hope right now I would definately be helping with the people at Calvary. We had some people from Louisiana at New Life yesterday, and you could just tell they were shaken up. I saw Harry Connick, Jr. on the news the other day just walking around New Orleans looking sad...
I'm in the flat right now. No one to talk to. I'm all by myself. Ain't misbehavin'...
There are roughly 11,000 students here at UCA, 1,000 more than most years, with the largest freshman class in Arkansas of 2,500. UCA is offering free tuition and fees to all Arkansas residents who were enrolled for the fall semester at Tulane, Xavier, University of New Orleans, or Southern University. For out-of-state residents who were affected by Hurricane Katrina, UCA will waive the out-of-state tuition charge. That's probably the best thing this university has done since I've been here. Maybe we'll get a Cajun roommate.
