Something to ponder.
An event of enormous proportions is about to happen right here in our blog-o-sphere. There’s going to be a holy joining of two of the Convoginator members in matrimony. The question to ponder, however, is the matter of names. For instance in the real world, women have what are referred to as ‘maiden names’. These names are exchanged for the given name of their husbands. This is not the case online where SeaShell would not be an actual maiden name. So it begs to ask, what shall she be called after the wedding? Mrs. C. ? SeaC ? Mrs. Jeff ? Shelly ? Jeff C’s mate ? Dear ? Yes, dear ? Yes, mame ? Babe ?
We may need an attorney to work this whole matter out as it will set a precedent to all blogs hereafter.

My friends....
I had a lull in my work activities yesterday; i.e. I was bored out of my mind. It was during this brief, yet intense, period that my wandering thoughts went back to the “early days” of Convoginators.com. I began to poke around in some of the archived material and it immediately became clear to me that this is really a great blog ! My heart had a warmth that welled up in me. Of course it had nothing to do with the fact that I had just porked down a whole sandwich bag of chips and hot Pecante sauce. Anyway, those of the Convoginator family should be proud for the contribution we’ve all played in the advancement of mankind as a whole. I thought of how much we have accomplished with so little as compared to what little Congress and the Senate have done with so much ( so much of my money I might say ). I thought of the waste where these men and women are ferried about in chauffer-driven motor cars. Many whom are ferries; but that’s another thread. I can remember some of the stirring input I gleaned from Manteca, Matthew, eRIc, Seashell, Raincheck, Jeff C and after I lowered the obscenity filter, Kyle. Yes, my friends we have everything to be proud of when so many blogs have had their day in the sun and burned out into oblivion, ours remains as a beacon of truth and a stalwart of security in such a shallow world.
Let your light shine!!

We can do this...
Here’s a novel, and original plan to remedy the airline crisis that Manteca eluded to. These steps have been crafted to help everyone possible out of this most unfortunate situation: Step #1: Round up some illegal aliens. Step #2: Move as many FEMA trailers necessary to accommodate 700 of the collected illegal aliens to a pristine location along the Florida coastline( their families and immediate friends may take an additional 3000 trailers ). Step #3: Train these people to run the printing presses that make our country’s currency. Step #4: Purchase new or move the necessary printing equipment near to the new workforce. Step #5: Begin printing money as fast as the equipment and new work force can produce it. Step #6: Allow the new work force of illegal aliens to form unions so they will be eligible for premium wages, benefits, hospitalization and overtime pay. Step #7: Buy new air planes for the ailing airlines using the newly printed money. Step #8: Tax the populace ( excluding any illegal aliens ) in order to recoup the outlay of expenses heretofore spent to the above 7 steps.
Possible problems and their solutions:
1: If we are thrown into a deeper recession in the event other nations realize our money is even more worthless than it is now, we could easily move the blame to Preident Bush, Global warming, Christians , lipstick or long hair.
2: In the event this doesn't work, steps 1 through 7 can be repeated as many times as needed to get the desired outcome.
See, that was easy !!
Everyone wins !!!

Up, up and away...
I wasn't going to blog about American Airlines and the next chapter in the U.S. Air Transportation saga, but a fox headline set me off. I told you it was coming. They definitely have a beautiful plan. Notice that the main stream media is just lovin' this. Why shouldn't they? The will rack up on the advertising money when the airlines have all the tax payer money they need to buy new planes. Once again...oh well.
Here I am, stirring up trouble.
Obama has now decided that the boycotting of the opening ceremonies will be enough. Good job Obama, Pelosi, She-Clinton. "I didn't make the witch burning, but I went to the after party. I'm pretty sure they got the point, I was not happy. The shrimp dip was DELICIOUS. I still wasn't happy." Here is Obama's full statement: "If the Chinese do not take steps to help stop the genocide in Darfur and to respect the dignity, security, and human rights of the Tibetan people, then the President should boycott the opening ceremonies. As I have communicated in public and to the President, it is past time for China to respect the human rights of the Tibetan people, to allow foreign journalists and diplomats access to the region, and to engage the Dalai Lama in meaningful talks about the future of Tibet. I am also deeply concerned about China's failure to support efforts to halt the genocide in Darfur. Regarding the Beijing Olympics this summer, a boycott of the opening ceremonies should be firmly on the table, but this decision should be made closer to the Games." I too am deeply concerned about certain organization's (Rainbow coalition just to name one) failures in halting genocide in inner-city areas within the United States. Ah, let the good Rev. Wright speak to them, he knows all the answers. I wonder if Obama will place the same restrictions on those responsible for the genocide created by African American, Hispanic, Korean, etc. street gangs? So maybe if he wins the Presidency, he will boycott the inauguration? That'll show those damn Americans whose boss. OK...I'll stop.

A little HA HA for ya...
Dorothy was very upset because her husband Albert had just passed away. She goes to the mortuary to look at her dearly departed, and the instant she sees him she starts wailing and crying. One of the attendants rushes up to comfort her. Through her tears she explains that she was upset because Albert was wearing a black suit and that it was his dying wish to be buried in a blue suit. The attendant apologizes and explains that they always put the bodies in a black suit as a matter of course, but he'd see what he could do. The next day, Dorothy returns to the mortuary to have one last moment with Albert before his funeral the following day. When the attendant pulls back the curtain, Dorothy manages to smile through her tears as Albert is now wearing a smart blue suit. She asks the attendant, "How did you manage to get hold of that beautiful blue suit?" "Well, yesterday afternoon after you left, a man who was about your husbands size was brought in, and he was wearing a blue suit. His wife explained that she was very upset, as he had always wanted to be buried in a black suit," the attendant replied. The woman smiled. "After that, it was simply a matter of swapping the heads around".

Get ready to really pay for an airplane ride.
I know that many of you have noticed, thanks to the media, that suddenly the majority of our airline fleets are falling apart aka flying death traps. I find it funny that these MD-80's have been in the air since the early 1980's, thoroughly checked out weekly (hourly) and now suddenly they could all explode in the air at any moment. Bravo Southwest Airlines! What a great move. I also commend American, Delta and others for following suite so quickly. Southwest was beautiful in their move. "Hey, FAA, we got about 80 planes that we really have let go...**purr**" So they tattle on themselves. How American. The FAA respects that also, and nails them with a $10 million dollar fine and grounds the planes. Who gets it next? Everyone! Heck, ATA just decided to shut down. Their own employees didn't realize it until they got to work. They left thousands of people stranded today. How much you wanna bet we bail them out? Poor ALOHA air. If they had just held out a little longer. So why? Here is why. We, the airlines, can't afford to replace all these planes. We know you have bailed our flying donkeys out before, but we are gonna need some BIG money to replace our fleets. Yada, yada, yada and bingo, the United States is in the airline business. The American people fork over $$$$$$ of tax dollars so that the airlines can continue to operate and make money...for their stock holders. Much like Bear Stearns. Yeah, go ahead and take $30 billion dollars of tax payers money and make sure J.P. Morgan can buy Bear Stearns so the stock holders can all make money. The new plan? More government control of the banking industry. Which reminds me... anyone seen my little red book? Wake up, it's here and we have been caught snoozing. There won't be any shots fired. We will all go quietly, watching our hard earned money roll down the road in the form of a sparkling purple 1989 Chevy Caprice with 22" chrome spinners and a glow-in-the-dark Cobra on the hood, turn into the Federally funded housing project. At least we, the working class, will make sure our kids grow up and get good jobs so that 90% of the country can smoke meth and make more ignorant babies... Oh da babies... day b da footure. *If you would like to comment about this post, please go here.
