I don’t understand many black people that were interviewed and shown at the democratic carnival. The phrase “living the dream” seemed to be constantly pitched. I always thought that a dream was defined as something that was hoped or imagined that has yet to occur, but two names come to mind that smash that idea when it comes to the black folk; Condoleezza Rice and Barack Obama. Seems to me this “dream” they keep talking about is actually reality. I mean, Ms. Rice is one of the most influential and powerful women in the world today-and she’s black. Barack Obama may soon be THE most influential and powerful human on the planet – and he’s black. So what DO they really want? What is this "dream" they keep dragging around everywhere they seem to go. I tire of the constant whining and ‘poor me’ from these people.
