President-to-be Mike Huckabee spoke at a non-denominational church yesterday in Windham, NH called the Crossing. If you will check the transcript of his sermon you will see there was not a word of politics spoken. Mr. Huckabee did what he was/is ordained to do – preach. As I understand that is still lawful to do so in the United States of America. I spent the better part of the last hour reading comments from all over the country and world concerning people’s reaction to Mr. Huckabee’s sermon. You never heard so much belly aching over “the separation of church and state” in your whole life. I know I may be showing my age a bit here, but I can clearly remember when a person was admired for being honestly “religious”. Today, anyone who claims some relationship with the Creator is stripped of any honor or intelligence whatsoever. I truly pray for our nation. I can’t imagine God’s patience to continue in light of the escalating level of hate towards Him. My Bible keeps saying that it is God that is the source of EVERY GOOD and PERFECT Gift. Why won’t people understand that ?
