You probably all know that when it comes to politics, government, taxes, and such…well, I'm a moron. That began to change when I became a member of this small group of foot soldiers. I have become more aware of those things in government now which prompted this post. Last night on the way home I listened to the local news. I had to make a 'double-take' on what I heard. Seems Texarkana is in the process of asking for more sales tax to go into 'education'. There was a short list of reasons given for the desired one cent increase. On the top of the list was ( and I am not kidding ) an increase in the sales tax is necessary because of the increases in the local property taxes !!!
