So long as it doesn't discrminate against Christianity.

The Northwest Arkansas Times is reporting that a group wishes to bar the Promise Keepers from using the stadium at the University of Arkansas. Typical, how some liberals scream all day about being inclusive, and respecting the rights and beliefs of others, but when the rubber meets the road they want Christians to have no part of this so called "freedom."
According to Dick Bennett, retired professor of English and president of the OMNI center, that very mission speaks to the groups intolerance of others. "They are extremely exclusive in favor of Christianity to the exclusion of all the other religions," Bennett said. "This is a very fundamentalist, intolerant religious organization. Even though they say they are open to all denominations, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, they really mean if those different peoples will convert to
Christian," he said.
I've got news for you, Mr. Bennett. ALL religions really believe that they are the only way, the only true one. I don't care what rhetoric they spit out about inclusiveness, deep down they think the same thing. I don't hear you complaining about fundamentalist Muslims and how committed they are to "diversity"... but that was probably our fault too, wasn't it?
Those of you who are currently in an institution of higher education, or those that soon will be I hope you hold strong to your beliefs. Universitites are for the most part a bastion of liberal idealism and a stronghold of intolerance for conservative, Christian thought. Stand firm in your beliefs, but make sure you understand why you have them. Build your house on The Rock, and above all, don't give people like Mr. Bennett the time of day. Attention is all they really want.
