It has been a while since I have posted. The current state of the NBA has brought me out of the depths of posting depression. You guys know I am a HUGE sports nut!
The Detroit Crack Dealers and the Indiana Gangster Rappers, two great all-American NBA teams. Teams with upstanding young men that make all of us proud that our youth look up to them. I will say that the testosterone-induced melee that ensued ON television the other night was a little ridiculous. Especially after the rest of the country freaks out over a simple commercial before Monday Night Football on ABC.
We wonder why the Romans placed their athletic specimens in the same arena with the animals. I think maybe because the Romans had it correct. They are just animals. What transpired on that Basketball court and in those stands is INTOLERABLE (thanks, phynerk). Just when you think everything might be ok, the ignorance of the world raises it's ugly head, and takes a big bite out of progress.
These four upstanding athletes (yeah right) might even be suspended for the season. HA! I stay let them find another job. I'm sure they are such amazing men, that they can find great careers that will benefit them the same luxuries that they are accustomed too in the NBA (National Bullies Association). I'm sure that in my occupation if I physically or even verbally lashed out at the spectators I would just be "suspended" for the season... RIGHT!!!
Hey, what do I know? I was the one who caused the great Cub Scout Pine Wood Derby debacle of 1977. That dudes grandmother was really talking some trash about the painting scheme on my derby car...so I had to shut her up! This incident eventually led to the removal of the Pine Wood Derby race in troop 51 and the standing 15 ft. safety zone between spectators and participating cub scouts. They can be an unruly lot!
Let's hope we don't have this behavior trickle into Drum & Bugle corp!
