Hey, I'm cool.
I guess I’ve lived as an American long enough to realize that when someone is convicted in a court of law ….. he is GUILTY. Our legal system is full of carefully institued checks and balances that practically guarantee a fair trial. So here comes defrocked ex-governor ‘Blago’ claiming a tyrade of jive talk about how he’s innocent, didn’t do anything wrong, had no say so in his defense, and on and on. ( funny, during the five years I did jail ministry I never met one person there who was “guilty”…anyway ). In fact all 59 of his peers asked for his impeachment. So my entry today into the funniest thing I ever heard category is this quote from our “innocent” defrocked ex-governor :
I'm not going to say this is an easy time,'' he said. "But ... there are tens of thousands of people across America just like me who are losing their jobs or lost their jobs. I'm not looking for any pity, and I don't need anybody to feel bad for me. Because I'll be just fine.''
HaHaHa….he throws the term “just like me” around like it means “ people who were laid off due to the hard times we are in”, or “ people who are down on their luck because of the economic downturn we find ourselves in”…..he neglects to say that he is not at all like the average Joe that lost his job – BLAGO is a convicted, defrocked, proven-guilty by law crook ! On top of that he has an enormous number of devoted followers who want him to "keep up the fight".

It gets funnier all the time
Seems the NAACP is totally up in arms over the “racially disturbing” presence of these colorfully dressed women. As the NAACP claims, the dresses used by this marching troupe resemble those worn during the time of slavery. I hope that we don’t extend that logic too very far. Just think of all the other things that resemble those of the slave trading times. Makes you wonder if there will be any horses, drums, and other musical instruments in this parade that will be as equally unpleasant to our NAACP friends.

Liar, Liar - Part 3
Oh yeah, remember the Global warming "science"? Here's a few headlines from today's news that prove just how valid Global warming is:
** Earth on the Brink of an Ice Age
** Slovenian Media have reported recommendations of the meteorological institute of Germany, which alarms over the risks of having piercings – the metal earrings on people’s body could cause dangerous freezing. No metal objects attached to the body should be worn, warns the media, for people who must venture outside. For everyone else, Slovenian media urges its citizens to stay in their homes
** Life At Negative 78 Degrees In Alaska

Liar, Liar - Part 2
Well, MSN.com is really on a roll with their spin on morality with today's entry into the realm of lie enough and it will become true, or say anything like it's a fact:
4 things he hates when he stays over
Claiming closet space
Cleaning house
Touching his toiletries
Ruling the remote
Remember there's still no mention of marriage. Heck, why, when you (think) can have your cake and eat it too?
Payday is coming.....

Liar,Liar
The banner headline from a front page article on MSN today got my attention:
How Soon Is Too Soon? 5 reasons you should wait to sleep with him
It made me wonder how many times do you need to hear an untruth until it becomes truth. I am amazed at how much I have seen this over and over – the results are that the average Joe really believes the lies he has been spoon-fed by the media and peers. Here’s just a few:
Evolution is an accurate science. Try to convince anyone you happen to come in contact with that we did not evolve over the millennia to the creatures we are now.
Global warming will destroy civilization if it is not checked.
Separation of church and state….that one is really rich.
Then back to the article I mentioned about “sleeping around”. It assumes that it’s ok as long as the proper criteria are followed. Get this line from the article:
Some experts say that jumping into bed too soon is the #1 relationship mistake women make now. Not to get all prudish, but it might be a good idea to wait a little—for better sex and stronger love. Never is it spoken that this practice outside of marriage is just downright wrong.
Oh, then there is the gay thing that says that everyone has this inner tendency to be that way and that’s why some are…yeah, right.
No wonder Jesus said we need to “take heed what we hear”.

Is it true?
One of the Convoginators marooned in Fayetteville received this in an email stating that it is both a sign that hangs on the Burger King in Hope, and a sign that the Hope Public School system is making great strides in literacy.
So, can this be confirmed?
