Finals... Done?

Well, I finished my last final yesterday afternoon, a 50 question pyschology comprehensive test, and I didnt miss one. See what happened was, me and college had a nice long walk monday before finals, and we did some talking and we agreed to go easy on each other so that finals wont be so hard, but when we said our goodbyes and turned to walk away, i pulled out my pocket baseball bat and preceded to beat the living crap out of finals. I knew when to stop when Mr. Finals body stopped convulsing, and the blood stopped flowing from his orifices. But i just for good measure, i bought a "sportka" car and cut Mr. Finals head off.

Thats Me with the bat (yes, yes, i know i bare a striking resemblence to George Bush) and thats Mr. Finals limp body on the ground. This picture is courtesy of the best search engine on the planet...

No carb, delicious meal...

Just thought i would post a beginning of a meandering surf session. Not Porn.

I just wanted to say that Sun's Java really sucks. I messes up jave on 30% of the web and it is not backwards compatible. It is a huge install. MSVM (Micorsoft Virtual Machine is so much better) is almost flawless. Sun somehow force MS to not include their own java machine in XP.

Back to our roots

It has come to my attention that we havent posted about the main reason we started this blog. Convogination. Speaking of which, i recently went back to the cafeteria, and i payed a visit to a woman that used to mean so much in my life. The milk maid. You know how you can be REALLY close to someone, and then you dont see them for a while, and you think everything would be back to the same once you see each other again, all will be normal again, but its extremely wierd and awkward. Well.... it wasnt like that, mainly because, she wasnt even there. Apparently, after i stopped going to the cafeteria, she lost all will to live, and she couldnt bring herself to go back to place where we shared so many chocolaty good memories. So I've decided to drop out of school, and embark on a quest... a quest to seek the holy grail err... i mean, the milk maid, so my next post may come from a far off distant place, like Quahog Rhode Island.

i just remembered why i quit posting about chocolate milk... its not funny

Greetings from Smyrna...

Greetings fellow convoginators and fans alike. I'm writing from the wonderfully dull town of Smyrna, TN. It's a long way from home, but it's been a stupid good time so far. The Double Tree hotel is nice, and I'm sure that we're overstaying our welcome. Lots of pictures and video coming, but you guys will have to wait until I get some more time. The hot tub calleth...

Things that make me laugh...

I too was up late... I have a video that makes me giggle. It is a video that cat lovers will despise. So if you don't like to see mean things done to cats (no cat was actually harmed in this video) then don't look.

a.m. post

its almost 2 in the morning time and im trying to memorize exactly where the ionian sea is. But it really wont make a difference on the test though, caz my teacher is kinda old and doenst recognize the power of a computer, and still hand draws her maps, so ill just assume that the little squiggly line next to the jagged cirlce is the ionian sea, BUT WAIT, what if the squiggly line is the nile river, what would that make the pointed arrows down by carthage? well... i guess i better restudy, i need to get into the mind set my teacher gets in when she makes the test, so im going to tie my self to a harness much like the one off of the big lebowsky and fling myself down a hallway and project paint onto a canvas on the floor, after several passes of this, i should have the map of asia minor, now just 7 continents, 4 oceans, and a trillion cities to go. i love college

Something Sad and Funny

I better get away from politics or someone might actually read it instead of skipping through it and learning something.

Last week someone tried to break into my house. This attempt happened between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 pm. This person tried to kick in the door which is quite amazing considering what holds the door shut: A handle lock a, a really nice metal sliding lock, and a chain. I think I might have rudely interupted the intrusion because when i walked into my house the door was standing a jar and the only thing that was holding it was the chain, the weakest part of the safety trio. If I kicked most of the door in, I wouldn't have let a silly chain stop me. I think I might have pulled into my driveway as the scum ran away. Lets say that i was a little upset. Some piece of maggot infested puke pile tried to get into my house which is part of long line of attempts and thefts incurred by my house and outside laundry room.

The items that have been stolen from my house.

1 dear to my heart metal rake
1 very large plastic rake
1 3.5 horsepower lawnmower
1 big box of Tide with bleach (?)

I can explain the first three items, but the Tide? Are the checks not coming in fast enough for you? Do we need subsidies on detergent now? Was it an after thought while taking the lawnmower? Did you say to yourself, "Oh Man! i forgot Tide at the store, I will just take this one." Was it hard to pull the lawnmower and carry the tide? You should of went it to my house and got my backpacks and bike to make it easier.

I think that i know who took this stuff and then tried to break in. Close to the end of fall two fellows showed up to my house wanting to know if I needed my lawn raked. I couldn't say no, so i paid them to do it. They wanted 40 for the front and back which is steep considering the size of my yard. I should have never said yes, because once i did they asked for everything else: Drinks, snacks, more drinks. They also said that they would finish the back yard the next day. They never did... so i paid 40 dollars for them to do half of my front yard. I think that this was the way they found the time to look around and scope out stuff to take, like effing Tide. I am more mad about the Tide then the rakes and lawnmower.

So my new favorite word is renig.
Say it, "Renigged."

Alright... enough of that....Other issues.

I was a college guy once. I was more liberal then any of you until i got out. The world is different then college. Once one sees the difference and the rules and regulations and ways of life created by liberal ideology, one might change his/her mind. I can understand those that don't care much or for politcs, but lets not start getting our feeling hurt over facts. If you want in the ring get in the ring otherwise, post funny.

ALERT!!!!

We have successfully removed all viruses from the system. We had thought we had this little problem under control, but a rogue computer was hitting the ISA server like John Kerry at the free bar of a Planned Parent fund raising event.

I later found the piece of junk cowering in a back corner of a little used room hording it's network access through a tattered network cable. With two swift swings of the sledgehammer, I triumphantly placed the "Virus Cleaned" note on the computer and went on my merry way.

Long live the new Symantec Virus Removal Sledge Hammer and Meat Tenderizer!!!

Wayne Brady...

Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch? I was scheduled to take my Certified Flight Instructor's practical test this morning, but the weather just didn't play nice. I'm rescheduled in a little over TWO WEEKS, but there's really nothing I can do about that. Looks like I'll be here at least a week into summer... don't have too much fun before I get there.

I was elected El Presidente of the Oklahoma State University Flying Aggies (Josh, where's that website?), and we're going to have a great semester in the fall.

Oh, and Seashell, I never did figure out what was up with the trashcan situation. Maybe they were recycled and given to other families, maybe they were sent to John Kerry's campaign so he would have somewhere to stick all the stuff that comes out of his mouth. Either way, they're not here... oh, and I refuse to buy more trashcans until the whereabouts of my old ones become known.

Come Saturday, I'm off to Tennessee for an entire week of wackiness and a stupid, good time. Hopefully there will be a net connection at the hotel so I can keep you all abreast of the wackiness. And with that, I've got to go wash some clothing...

To march or not to march...

Kerry consistently talks about his service in the Vietnam War and uses it to prove that he loves his country or that he deserves some higher form of respect.

Here is what Kerry said in 1971. This was during the war.America got out about 1974 and North Korea took over the South in about 1975.

(Videotape, MEET THE PRESS, April 18, 1971):

MR. KERRY (Vietnam Veterans Against the War): There are all kinds of atrocities and I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free-fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50-caliber machine guns which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search-and-destroy missions, in the burning of villages. All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare. All of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions and all of this ordered as a matter of written established policy by the government of the United States from the top down. And I believe that the men who designed these, the men who designed the free-fire zone, the men who ordered us, the men who signed off the air raid strike areas, I think these men, by the letter of the law, the same letter of the law that tried Lieutenant Calley, are war criminals.

So a man who admits to do these atrocities should have been brought up with war crime charges. He also shouldn't be using his Vietnam record as a platform to gain respect if he admits to doing the things he claims to have done.

Do you realize that some of the men and women that are in government now are the same people who hated the government and law in the 60's? They were hippies and vagabonds that coined the term, 'pigs' for policemen. They hated the FBI, the CIA, and authority in genera. Kerry was one of the biggest of them all. He is not telling us who he reallly is. He was an activist and he got into government to reform it. What else would a Vietnam Vet against the War do?. He is now trying to run as a moderate for president and he is not. He is going to do his best to get us out of Iraq. He is also going to do his best to hide who he really is. He cannot say that he is a liberal. And he has been asked out right. He will not admit to being a liberal

Here is my opinion: He was a Vietnam soldier and he was well-to-do. He probably got into the service because at the time a lot of politicians had served in some type of armed service; and he wanted to be a politician or at least to be in government. The Vietnam war starts and he goes and serves his country. He gets hurt and comes home with a purple heart after 5 months. He realizes the political climate and alot of his peers and friends are hippies or are politically active on the left side of the issues. I believe he goes far left to be cool. He wants to fit in pretty badly becuase he was a soldier of the war and people his age didn't look to kindly on soldiers of Nam. He uses this stature (Vietnam Vet turned against the Vietnam War) to spark his career and his self-esteem. He rides it to the Senate where he camps out for 20 years. He votes against defense and intelligence, votes against school choice (Socialism), he votes against tax cuts, and votes for abortion rights and extreme enviromental issues. You know, all the great Dem issues. He helped weaken the CIA, FBI, and National security. His votes are on record. He now runs for the presidency and runs as a moderate. He talks about tax cuts and strong defense. He is lying. He cannot be himself because he thinks people will not accept him. And he is right. People do not want a President like him. Tell me one issue that you find appealing about Kerry.

The whole point of this post was to ask a question. Can you be proud of something that you are not proud of?

one question

matthew, why were you at teenwire.com!!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

Planned Parenthood

Ok...

I am fed up now.

Quote from the "Ask the expert section" of the web site...
Penis Problems
My boyfriend is insecure about his crooked penis!

What the heck is this? The front page issue of the day is "Gay couples say, 'I do.'"
You also need to check out the "Body Diagrams" in the middle of the page on the left. Oh! By the way it is interactive.

They also don't have any abstinence programs in their agenda.

Planned Parenthood's tendrils have now reached around to grab Girls Scouts and the NEA. The NEA is going to be sending some representatives to a march that is pro-abortion. Whether one is Pro-life or Pro-abortion, abortion is not a health issue it is a political issue and the National Education Education shouldn't take a stance especially when the NEA is supposed to be worried about education.

I had a funny post, but I screwed it up....

Here is a very Radical view of PP, NEA and NOW...

One down, about ten thousand to go...

One project down, about ten thousand to go. The Flying Aggies Fundraising Banquet was a complete success. With very little time, very little money, and very little support from certain individuals who didn't do their job, but will remain nameless, we managed to pull off quite an evening, and I managed to pull off quite the run-on sentence. We had a great speaker, who was an FO for Delta Airlines, and his usual Captain was there as well. Two of the nicest guys you'd ever meet in your life, and both agreed to help us out in any way they could next year. Things are certainly looking up for the Aggies. Among the most interesting thing to me, was how much some of my photos sold for at the banquet. On a whim, I shot a couple shots of our airplanes and enlarged them courtesy of the NASA office on campus. One 24" x 36" framed shot of our Duchess sold for $125. Wow, it's almost like I'm a real photographer. No photo of mine sold for less than $50.

With the banquet out of the way, I can concentrate on the five things I have due this week: A project in Meteorology, a project in Airport Planning, a two day project in aviation management, a quiz in Geology, a CFI checkride with the FAA, and I'm leaving for the National Flight Team competition on Saturday. Hmm... this sucks.

Oh, and for those of you wondering why I didn't want $200 worth of pizza for $20, I've seen this thing before, it's not a good deal. You're limited on what you can buy, when, and you pretty much end up eating pizza twice a day for the next two weeks to get your money's worth out of it.

That's it,
Jeff C.

Oh, the humanity...

Occasionally, everything just seems to click. I was over at a friends house the other day feasting feverishly on quessadilla's with a group of friends when some guys in suits came to the door. They looked rather like Mormons, but without the little nametag and the holier-than-thou look upon their faces. Since I was fortunate enough to answer the door, I was greeted by the obvious ringleader of the trio. My hatred for door-to-door solicitors is well known, and the following conversation took place:

Salesman: "Hey, I'm just curious if you guys ever eat pizza?"
Me: "Yes, I have been known to ingest pizza from time to time."
Salesman: "You ever order from Pappa Johns?"
Me: "Why yes, I have been known to ingest pizza ordered from Pappa John's from time to time."
Salesman: "Well then what would you say if I told you that for just $20, I can get you over $200 worth of Pappa John's Pizza?"
Me: "I'd tell you that I don't have twenty dollars."
Salesman: "Well then what would you say if I told you we take checks?"
Me: "I'd tell you that I don't have a checkbook on me."
Salesman: "Well then what would you say if I told you that we could come back later?"
Me: "I'd tell you that would be great since I won't be here then." (much laughter from the peanut gallery at this point)

I'm guessing he wasn't used to being turned down in quite that manner, as he left with a rather confused, yet dejected look on his face. His partners also seemed somewhat confused, and followed the ringleader off to the next residence. (which happened to belong to two middle-aged lesbians who called the cops on us because this one guy ran around the yard wearing a white trashbag over his head.) Ahhh, memories.

Sorry to steal your thunder, Paul
Jeff C.

Ipods... hpphh

Umm.. The reason i havent posted in a while is because ive been doing vast research, scouring the ends of the internet to figure out something really important to me. Ive been trying to figure out how you make your text red at the bottom of your posts, so i can have a little funny thing at the end. Actually im lying, ive just been busy (with yer mom). Im so freaking ready for summer. Im also ready for kill bill vol. 2, which comes out tomorrow. Hmm.. what else can i talk about that doesnt involve politics in the least *cough* matthew is a homo *cough cough* So jeff has an ipod now, which i think officially makes me the only one in the world w/o one which sux. I was talking to my brother recently and he brought to my attention that ipods suck, which now that i think about it, they kinda do. Every person ive talked to about them has one major thing that they dont like about it, so thats why ive decided, instead of buying a ipod, im going to purchase a personal, portable record player. and not one of the ones that you plug up to speakers, im talking about one of the newer ones w/the horn on it.
.
strap that thing to your hip, no need for head phones, and just think of how many songs you can get on record, and you definitely wouldnt have to worry it ever skipping caz its a record player and they never skip. so enjoy you ipod havers, im gonna save my money and make the smart purchase.

SUCK IT TREBEK

Tax Returns

President Bush paid $227,490 in federal income taxes last year on taxable income of $727,083, according to a summary of the president's federal returns released Tuesday by the White House. Bush and his wife, Laura, listed as income his presidential salary and the investment income from trusts that hold their assets. The Bushes' tax bill was slightly lower than the previous year, when the First Couple paid $268,719 in federal income taxes. He gave 90,000 in charity.

In 2003, Sen. John Kerry had $395,000 in taxable income and paid $90,575 in federal income taxes. Kerry had $43,735 in charitable contributions. Last year, Kerry wrote "A Call to Service," of which had $89,000 in proceeds. Kerry is paying the taxes on the proceeds from the book and is donating the balance to charity. The tax return also shows $175,000 in capital gains, from the sale of one-half interest of a painting, which was reported last year.

In December 2003, Kerry announced that he loaned his campaign $6.4 Million by mortgaging a share of a Boston home he jointly owns with his wife. Heinz-Kerry paid cash for the Beacon Hill mansion in January 1995. But according To Kerry's own 1994 senate personal financial disclosure [signed May, 15, 1995], Kerry's own personal net worth was little more than $130,000 The current loan on the house carries an annual interest payment of $200,000, records show, more than Kerry's $158,000 Senate salary. Kerry's campaign says he intends to pay off the 30-year mortgage himself. "Sen. Kerry is a man who has considerable assets," spokesman Michael Meehan explains. But Kerry's financial disclosures show no assets sufficient to pay the loan -- or even a way to keep up with the interest payments!

Some say this is not a big deal, but I think that it is... What do alot of people say about Republicans? That they are rich and that it is easy for them to get into politics. Well, our friend John F'n Kerry did the noble thing and mortgaged his house because he believed so strongly in his campaign. But he can't even afford the interest on that house. He says he is going to pay it off, but who did he loan the money to? His campaign. The campaign has to pay it back, not him. So all the 'donations' from 'grassroot' movements now own a 6.4 million Bosonian home. That is so kind of Kerry. So in actuality his wife put up the loan. She is worth 2.5 billion dollars. So who is the rich one in this election. I don't care how much money a politician has, i just want them to have the country in the best interest.

I'd fly for 'em...

FedEx. Props once again to the fine men and women of this world-class company. I ordered my iPod Sunday afternoon, and Apple had it laser engraved and out the door on Monday. FedEx had it to my house this morning at 9:00. I didn't pay any extra for shipping, and I didn't expect it before Thursday. In an age of airline furloughs, and retirement plan fiascoes, FedEx has remained a top notch organization dedicated to their employees as well as their customers. I'd fly for 'em.

iPod'n it up,

Misery Index...

So...John Kerry has created his own misery index. That's probably because the old one (created 30 years ago) wasn't good enough. The original misery index (created in the Carter era and used since then) shows that the misery index is lower now than ever before...so that will not work...that makes Bush look too good. Anyway, if John Kerry can create his own misery index (with 7 important characteristics)m so can I.

My misery index indicates that I am VERY miserable. How do I know this....that would be the 7 characteristics that prove that I am miserable.

THE MANTECA MISERY INDEX (Based on a scientific survey of manteca's misery)
               1) No money to purchase a Hummer.
               2) No free flowing, city provided chocolate from the faucet next to the city provided
                  water in my house.
               3) No low carb, fat free, sugar free, muscle building triple Wendy (with cheese).
               4) No .39/gallon gas. (see I'm willing to pay a little in gas tax)
               5) No govt. provided DSL/Satellite TV/phone system (paid for by the thousands in
                  taxes I pay each year)
               6) No gold plated food (Stamp) card to be used at any grocer, discount center
and/or fine eating establishment. (Once again paid for by my taxes)
               7) Herman Munster looking, large forehead, money grubbing, lying, cheating,
cowardice, evil, lying sack of monkey nuts like John Kerry being able to run for
                    president.

So you see, if John Kerry can make up his own Misery Index to support his (ridiculous, self serving, whale kissin') views, then I can too...

then again...(you know the rest),

Like a moth to the flame...

Like the proverbial insect to the inferno, I am drawn to the convoginators site. I come craving its humor, political insight, and wacky tales of yesteryear. Upon my arrival, I notice that certain individuals may be questioning my current situation. Seashell, you may be right. I may need an intervention. Especially one of the A-Team's specialty. Afterall, Mr. T. needs work. I doubt something that drastic will be necessary, however. My iPod will be arriving hopefully mid-week, and I'm pretty sure that will dull whatever pain my sedate weekend didn't already ameliorate. However, if everyone is still concerned about my well being, I do accept donations for the "Jeff needs to pay off his iPod Fund." Another popular choice is the "Jeff needs a new David Clark headset Fund" Please donate at your leisure, and remember, it's not tax deductible unless you give large amounts in small, unmarked, non-sequential, pre-circulated bills. It is now my intention to play video games for several hours...

10 million is big number....

10 Million Jobs

ShiftSlap

Whine-fest 2004

Some of you may have noticed my recent lack of posting. For this, I apologize profusely. I am, however, at a loss for words. This happens to me only rarely, and I never can seem to ascertain the source of this malady, but it has happened. It is possible that college is finally taking it's toll on me. Not that I'm not enjoying it, I'm just not enjoying most of my classes. In fact, my own proclivities on a particular aviation management class are well known and often lamented facts of flight center lore. Regardless, something is sucking the creative juices out of me and replacing it with apathy, disgust, and sheer boredom. I find myself skipping class at an alarming rate, but I just don't care. I find myself procrastinating at a rate not seen since high school, but I just don't care. I find myself contemplating the life that may or may not be before me, yet I am stuck in a rut of activities that more than likely will perpetuate my current situation (at least until I graduate!) I just don't care. Apathy's a bitch sometimes...

In other, less depressing news, I saw "The Girl Next Door" last night. Not a bad flick, the story is rather imaginative, and Elisha Cuthbert is a severe hottie. Certainly not great, but definitely worth seeing.

Hopes Shot Down

So last week one of my friends told me that his mother had bought a bunch of little vacations and that he wanted to take me on one, and I didnt believe him at first, caz his mom also was the one that thought she had won a BILLION dollars from that crack the code Pepsi game, that was going on a while back. ANyways, it turns out she really did buy those trips, and i was really going to get to go, so i have been extremely giddy for the last week or so, thinking about how cool a cruise to the carribean was gonna be. So I get anxious and wanted to know more, so i searched "Ramada Plaza Resorts" on google, and every link that came up revolved around the same thing... FRAUD, SCAM, etc.. And i started reading them, and apparently this company pressures people into buying things that dont actually exist, which means neither does my vacation. The really sad part is, my friends mom paid 1600.00 dollars, and it looks like its non-refundable. There are 12 state led class-action suits against this company too, but for some reason nobody can seem to get anything done. Some people have lost as much as 6400.00 dollars, and all they got for it was a crappy cruise on a fishing boat.
Here is a couple links to illustrate.

Thanks P!

I can always count on you for a good laugh. I can't wait until Summer, so I can get a change of scenery, and don't think I'm not gonna come visit at some point. (I'm looking at you, Paul.)

Oh, and today my meteorology professor said, "Sometimes, Gyro Mouse needs a good pounding." How am I supposed to keep a straight face?

P.S. It's not my fault I was raised on Rock and Roll... I'm getting better.

Rather Propaganda

---Tonight, savagery in the streets of Iraq. Ten Americans die in a single day, four of them civilians, murdered, mutilated and dragged throughout the streets. Who is behind this? What drives American civilians to risk death in Iraq? In this economy, it may be for some the only job they can find. This family paid the ultimate price.

Cleared for the Ride...

Supposedly heard while listening to approach somewhere:

Approach: "Delta Nine Sixty-Five, maintain five thousand until established, cleared ILS runway One Eight Left approach, contact tower inside the marker: one nineteen point five."

Delta 965: "Five 'till the glide, cleared for the ride, tower inside, nineteen five, delta nine sixty-five, see ya."

Not standard phraseology, but oh so cool.

Sorry about the pilot humor, but I thought the message board needed some lightening up. Not that I don't love politics, it's just it seems to be dominating the board lately. Where's Paul?

Jeff C.

Is this for real?

Do I need to say more? What a frickin' idiot. Does he really think that people don't see through this? He never goes to black churchs; he never goes to church, so why is he starting now? What other reason is there? It is obvious to me. Do you want to vote for a man or party that uses its constituents to further their agenda of power? John kerry doesn't understand the normal guy. His wife is worth 1 billion dollars. He had servants in his house when he grew up. His first wife was worth millions and John Kerry has been living on a Senator's pay for the past 20 years. He lives off his wife's money. That ain't the normal guy. I will be honest. Bushy inherited his money, but Bush has invested and made his own wealth. He goes to his ranch when he wants to get away. That is kinda cool. He goes home when he wants to relax and he doesn't care if people think he is a cowboy. At least we know who Bush is.

If you want to vote out Bush, Tell me a couple reasons why you want to vote for Kerry.

Who's on First?

Tightening the Newspaper Between my Legs...

Rice is testifying this week before the politicized "gotcha" commision. It is going to blow up in someone's face this week. Either Rice comes out swinging or, again, the Bush administration wimps out. I hope she does the first.

She is going to make a 20 minute opening statement and hopefully she can convince the American public that the war in Iraq was truely the next step in the war on terror and not a distraction for the wealth grab of Bush. I have said a few times: If Bush is lying, he is an evil man. Did Bush go into Iraq just to get the oil? If we did then why is gas so damn high?

Condoleeza Rice

I would like to point our what Condoleeza Rice said in October 2004. This was before the election and also a year before the 911 incident.

RICE: Osama bin Laden, do two things. The first is you really have to get the intelligence agencies better organized to deal with the terrorist threat to the United States itself. One of the problems that we have is a kind of split responsibility, of course, between the CIA in foreign intelligence and the FBI in domestic intelligence. There needs to be better cooperation because we don't want to wake up one day and find out that Osama bin Laden has been successful on our own territory

Umm... What else does she need say or testify about. She has already testified for about 19 hours and they are going to make her do more, so she can be publicized and politicized.

It is amazing that she could see this. Which is funny becuase Dick Clark said that when he briefed her that he got the impression that she didn't know anything about Al Qeada. He can take his bandstand of a apology and shove it; I think that Rice is brilliant.

Out Source This!

Warning This blog was actaully routed through Japan and is now in violation of "out sourcing". My time was used abroad and that is just not fair for all other Americans. I should have to pay double taxes, so I don't cheat that average American.

So the job numbers are out today: 308, 000 jobs added. They also revised last month from 75,000 to 208,000. The funny thing is that the unemployment numbers grew form 5.6% to 5.7%. I wondered why and i found an answer. It is becuase there is a definition of the word of unemployed at USDL. They define it as someone who is out of work, but is looking for work. Last months more people got off there butt and started looking.

Also manufacturing is at a 16 year high.We have grown for the past 28 months without any halt.

There is talk of making it illegal to "out source". What the hell? I will admit that 1.3 million jobs have been lost to "out sourcing", but 6 million jobs are "in sourced". So aren't we better off? If a company is being taxed too much, can you blame them for wanting to move their company?

So lets cut through the poop. We got out of the mildest recession in November of 2001 since the mid 70's. It wasn't that bad. Unemployment peaked at 6.3 percent in this recent recession. In '81 it was 10 percent. In the 90's it peaked at 7.4%. Can we really blame Bush? Remeber he can't do anything without Congress. Look at this net change graph of the past 10 years. Look at when the jobs started to fall. The first 5 months of '00 jobs plummeted, and they continued to fall until November 01, which is when we started out of the recession. Is Bush to blame for the those first 6 months that he enetered office and having not done anything. How is it that he lost those jobs? It seems to me that the '90's where running out because of Tech bubble in the Stock Market and Mutual Fund crash (which, by the way, they are procuring at a 7 year high now). Let's now add in the Florida stuff, which lingered for months in the media and on Capitol Hill for months, concerning Bush stealing the election with his brother's help (which is funny because it was recounted 6 times and everytime Bush won, and it was being counted by Democrats). It has been said that it wasn't until August once the Bush administration got into full swing. How could the Bush administration be at fault for the loss of all those jobs when they hadn't made any moves, positive or negative. Now lets move this discussion to the middle of the recession in January '01 and Bush says that we need a tax cuts. Well, he gets it done, and you can see by all the numbers that is when the economy starts itself back up. But do you remember how hard Bush had to fight for that tax cut?

Taxes take money from the people. I don't mind the gov being rich, just not oppressive. If the gov takes my money, I have less control over my life.
WE should decide how to spend our own money, not the government.

The Big One

When is it going to happen?

Security Officials are thinking about putting a fence around the Capitol and the Congressional Office buildings.

A physical barrier would markedly increase security for lawmakers and visitors to the nations seat of government, Gainer (US Capitol Police Cheif) said during a hearing of the Senate Appropriations subcommittee on the legislative branch. The fence, he said, could cost $15 million to $50 million.

Some people are worried that it will "fly in the face of what Americans think." A Republican Senator from Colorado said this. He then added that he hoped that it if were built, that it would be unobtrusive. You gotta love the government: They want to build a wall around the Capitol and various buildings to help with the security against terrorist or other threats, BUT they don't want it to be obtrusive. Lets spend 50 million or so on a security fence or wall that doesn't really do anything.

I have a better idea for security: FEAR. What if terrorist or jihadist were afraid? What if they knew that we would search them out anywhere in the world if they attacked Americans anywhere in the world. And before I go on with my banter let me address the logic that some people on the left are spouting. Dems and Lefties are saying Bush has angered the terrorist hence the attack on Spain two days before the election. Liberals say that Spain was attacked because they were helping us in Iraq. I want to point out two things concerning this talking point. First, I was under the impression that Iraq had nothing to do with terrorists. Why would terrorist care if Spain helped us in Iraq if terrorist have no concern or connection to Iraq.

Secondly, what is this jive about making them more mad? I got beat up a few times in school. I got my butt pummeled to the ground. I have to say that I backed down from a few of those run-ins with bullies. The times that I backed down, I got wooped; and the the time I stood up, I got wooped. I sure as hell didn't worry if my act of standing up for myself was going to make the bullies more mad. Of course, it made them more mad when I stood my ground! What esle is it going to do? Make them happier? I will say that I wooped a few noggins during those few times of engagements with bullies, but only because I stood up for myself. Terrorist are pissed that we came into Afganistan and they are really mad that we went into Iraq; and they are quaking in their boots worrying if we will go into Iran next. When I look back, the bullies started thinking twice before they picked on kids who take care of themselves. Bullies pick on the kids that they know are easy. We all know that. So this argument where America shouldn't do anything harsh are strong handed because the terrorist will become more enraged, is bogus. They were mad enough to take down the Towers, so what is a little "wiping the floor" with their rag heads going to hurt.

I am going to finish off this rant with a little warning. It isn't over yet, the big one is still going to come. A nuclear bomb will go off somewhere, someday. Kim Jong-Il (our little pot-bellied dictator) is going to profit off of his weapons. This event is going to happen. It could be in 10 years or 10 days, but it inevitable. This is what the big guys in Washington and in other governments around the world are afraid of. Look at what Tony Blair is doing in Britian with compulsory ID cards. What do you think that governments of the world going to do if a backpack nuke goes off. Terrorism is real and they will stop at nothing to destroy our way of life. They hate us and their religion is commanding them to destroy us. That is why i can't deal with higher ups in the Democratic Party. (The yellow dogs around the local scene are fine) They are attacking the President (the one guy who is trying to do something about this) during a war. We got into WWII for less then the Two Tower attacks.

april fools you dork

your not fooling me... you try so hard sometimes manteca but i wont fall prey to your estreginical treasury, err... i mean BS. Once again dell tech support came through for me, i needed a new ac adapter for my laptop and they got it here in about 36hrs, totally free of charge. Although i was put on hold for 44 minutes, but i think all in all it was worth it. Anyways, ive been working at the gas station for almost three months now, and i think ive officially lost my soul. Its not a hard job by any means, but it sucks the life out of you to be SOO bored. i dont even look at the customers anymore, i just give change, and a cordial grunt. I heard First Baptist Church has a new music minister interim.... her name is CARA. Cara is probably the only music minister ever to make minimum wage, someone *cough cough* mr.madlock *cough* needs to help her out, and get her a raise and a pension plan. haha
well... im going to class

I'm gonna make like a tree and leave...

I officially resigned yesterday. I had it with the insanity of this job. I will finish out this week and then I will begin my new gig. It's the only one I can find, but I can handle it. I will be a line spot welder at SMI. I needed the change and this job will suffice until I can find something a little more in my area. I know you are probably thinking that he can't do this, he is the jazz band and the Tech. Dept. Well, I have to for me...Matthew can handle the gig.

So starting this evening, I will no longer be posting to this site. I have to make some major cutbacks, and one is my direct connection at the house and several of my computers. It has been fun and you guys have always been great. Keep on bloggin'
